Job Title: Project Manager – Designated Funds

A great opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join our Kier Highways team in Stafford Park.  The main purpose of this role is to assist the Deputy Roads Manager and the Environmental Manager in managing the overall Designated Fund Projects in Highways England Area 9. Manage programmes and commercial aspects of the projects. Coordinate the activities of specialists and work outsourced to other Kier teams. Ensure that projects are managed to programme and on budget. Maintain the portfolio of future schemes. Liaise with the Client’s representatives, statutory and non-statutory stakeholders and other interested parties. To interact with the technical design teams and specialists utilising a level of technical engineering and water/drainage awareness. Assist the team in liaison with stakeholders, and work to resolve complaints and queries from third parties.

What do we need from you to be successful in this role? 

  • Experience of Project Management, or managing projects, within an Engineering or Environmental background
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification and >2years experience or >5 years related experience
  • A proactive individual who can use Microsoft Excel or similar, who is organised and a great communicator
  • Demonstrable experience in either engineering, environmental, water or drainage technical design or construction
  • Membership of relevant professional body desirable
