We are currently hiring an Operator to join us in the HUB based at Easton Lane on a 12-hour shift-based rotation, which provides a 24/7 single point of contact for Kier Highways supporting the Area team’s response to incident management, safety observations, stakeholder liaison and general enquiries.


Key Responsibilities
The HUB Operator will be acting as first point of contact for Kier in relation to incidents on the network, ensuring that the appropriate course of action is taken for each issue reported.
Part of the role will be to deploy and manage the resources required to support Highways England in the timely clearance of incidents. You will get an opportunity to liaise directly with the Highways England’s R.O.C’s ensuring any additional support is correctly identified and provided.

In this role it is important to maintain and manage the information flow and ensure regular contact with all stakeholders during incidents. Our HUB Operators produce and maintain accurate records for all incidents that occur on the network and record all relevant information into the relevant database(s). They also Log/record all Area 3 safety observations and forward reports to the relevant teams. The role will also involve monitoring all Airwave radio communications, ensuring a strict radio discipline is maintained.
