What do we need from you? 

Do you have what it takes to join Kier as an Ecologist? We’re on the lookout for someone who has an Environmental/Sustainability degree (or equivalent), who is ideally a member of an environmental/sustainability institute (IEMA), and ideally working towards Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv). 

In terms of your experience and knowledge, we’re asking that you have experience in ecological surveys including Extended Phase 1 habitat surveys and protected species surveys, good understanding of Environmental Impact Assessment experience, preferably with use of the Highways Agency guidance document 'Design Manual for Roads & Bridges' (DMRB). 

You will need to have previous experience of flora and fauna species, and associated legislation. Along with an understating and experience with the HA BAP, UK BAP and local BAPs and possession of protected species licenses (bat and dormouse).
